2025 marks the 20th running of Protect Your Melon - Buckle Up SpeedFest, an event that often pits NASCAR stars against Late Model greats and births new stars in the racing world.

The latest edition of "The Bullring Hot Lap" features Track Enterprises' Bob Sargent, as he details the process of adjusting the schedule for this weekend's Protect Your Melon - Buckle Up SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway.

Competing in the JEGS/CRA Pro Late Model 100-lap event, Rutherford will represent FatHead Racing.

With a high chance of rain forecasted for Saturday in Cordele, Georgia, feature racing for Protect Your Melon - Buckle Up SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway will now take place on Friday, January 17.

A field of 25 Super Late Models awaits this weekend at Cordele Motor Speedway for Protect Your Melon - Buckle Up SpeedFest, while more than 20 Pro Late Models are entered for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 100-lap feature.

NASCAR Cup Series competitors Chase Elliott and Ross Chastain are both racing at SpeedFest, along with Late Model standouts such as Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse, Cole Butcher and Matt Craig.

Champions and other award winners were honored on Saturday night during the Champion Racing Association Awards Ceremony at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana.
