VIDEO: Ron Barfield Previews New Year's Bash on Bullring Hot Lap

In the first "Bullring Hot Lap" of 2025, Alan Dietz sat down with Dillon Motor Speedway's Ron Barfield to preview this weekend's New Year's Bash.

The New Year's Bash is one of the biggest events each year for Street Stock competitors. According to Barfield, this year's entry list is in the neighborhood of 50 cars, with teams entered from all parts of the United States and even Canada.

"I saw the entry blank the other day," said Barfield. "We've already got 49 entered, and there are going to be three or four, probably, that aren't going to enter and are going to show up.

"We've got a big group of cars. We've got one coming down from Toronto, Canada to run this race. A lot of cars out of New Hampshire are coming. A lot of cars out of Massachusetts, Ohio. We've got one driver coming from Texas, cars coming from everywhere on top of our normal cars that are racing anyway."
