The detailed schedule for the 57th Annual Snowball Derby has been published by Five Flags Speedway officials. Activity at the Pensacola, Florida half-mile begins on Wednesday, December 4 and concludes on Sunday, December 8 with the 300-lap Super Late Model showcase.
Before teams unload at Five Flags Speedway on Wednesday, the Snowball Derby Kickoff Party moves to a new location on Tuesday, December 3, Ticket Sports Bar 2. Located at 1370 W 9 Mile Rd in Pensacola, Ticket Sports Bar 2 is less than five miles from Five Flags Speedway.
Hauler parking and technical inspection begins on Wednesday, December 4, ahead of the qualifying draw and green flag party at Five Flags Speedway. Late Model teams will get their first practice of the week on Thursday, December 5, with the Gulf Real Estate Pro Trucks, The Dock of Pensacola Beach Sportsman and the Lloyd's Glass Pure Stocks contesting their Snowball Derby features that evening.
Friday, December 6 brings one of the most dramatic evenings in Late Model racing, Snowball Derby qualifying to set the first 30 spots in the field for Sunday's race. The Modifieds of Mayhem Tour will crown its season in a 75-lap feature on Friday, followed by the Story & Bleich Crown Stock Invitational 25.
Saturday is an action-packed day as always, including the full program for the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 with qualifying, a Last Chance Qualifier and the 100-lap feature race. The Snowball Derby Last Chance Qualifier also takes place on Saturday to complete the field of competitors, with the Faith Chapel Outlaws 50 closing out Saturday.
This all builds to the 57th Annual Snowball Derby on Sunday, December 8, where the best Late Model drivers in North America will battle for 300 laps for the Tom Dawson Trophy and a place in immortality.
