An Updated Look at Snowball Derby Entries
More than 50 cars are now entered for both the Snowball Derby and Allen Turner Snowflake 100
One week ago, Five Flags Speedway released its first look at the entry lists for the 54th Annual Snowball Derby presented by Hooters. Entries have continued to pour in over the past week, with more than 50 cars now entered for both the Snowball Derby and the Allen Turner Snowflake 100.
Several drivers now entered for the Snowball Derby are familiar faces from throughout the season's Deep South Crane Blizzard Series. Drivers such as Casey Roderick and Michael Atwell were frequent visitors during the Super Late Model season at the Pensacola, Florida half-mile.
Boris Jurkovic also took part in the Blizzard Series finale as part of his return to racing following a major incident at Berlin Raceway during the summer, and has now filed his Snowball Derby entry.
Jurkovic is not the only Midwest representation to join the Snowball Derby entry list in the past week. Eddie Van Meter has joined the field for both the Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100, while Jack Smith is now entered for the Derby after being on the verge of winning the Winchester 400 earlier this fall.
Two-time Southern Super Series champion Casey Roderick headlines the latest batch of Snowball Derby entries.
Jack Smith was in contention for the victory at the Winchester 400 in October.
An accident at Berlin Raceway in May sidelined Boris Jurkovic for several months, but he competed in the Blizzard Series finale as part of his return to racing.
Michael Atwell is one of the Florida natives who hopes to keep the Tom Dawson Trophy in the Sunshine State.
Perry Patino hopes to make his first Snowball Derby start since 2018.
Eddie Van Meter finished third at the Winchester 400, his lone ARCA/CRA Super Series start of 2021.
More than a dozen names have joined the list of Allen Turner Snowflake 100 entries in the past week, featuring plenty of star power.
Former Snowball Derby champions Augie Grill and Johanna Long Robbins will again return to compete in the Snowflake 100, as well as this year's ARCA/CRA Super Series champion, Hunter Jack.
2019 PASS National Champion Mike Hopkins has enjoyed some success in the south, including a win at Richmond Raceway (VA) in PASS' Commonwealth Classic that year, and hopes to carry that all the way to the Gulf Coast.
Another PASS National Champion, Derek Griffith, is also on the Snowflake 100 entry list. William Sawalich, winner of the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series finale, has also joined the latest entrants.
