EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been updated to reflect that Zachary Curtis has been declared the official winner of the Crown Stock Derby 40 at Five Flags Speedway.

Zachary Curtis is now a two-time winner of the Crown Stock Derby 40 at Five Flags Speedway.

Curtis originally finished third in the 40-lap event on Saturday night. However, provisional winner Jay Jay Day and second-place finisher Chris Salter were both disqualified in post-race technical inspection, turning the victory over to Curtis.

Curtis won the inaugural Crown Stock Derby 40 for the Story & Bleich Crown Stocks during last year's Snowball Derby Preview. Curtis made the trip from the Atlantic shores of Florida to Pensacola once again for the second running of the event, and will once again leave as its winner.

“We won the Snowball Derby last year," said Curtis immediately following the race. "We came back and raced a regular race here and won that. I love this place. It’s so much fun, it’s just such a far drive for us."

Adam Salter is now credited with second place in the final running order, followed by Chris Mitchell, Mike Stacy and Anthony Ottinger.

The Crown Stock Derby 40 concluded the Snowball Derby Preview, the last official on-track activity at Five Flags Speedway before the 57th Annual Snowball Derby on December 4-8.

Kaden Honeycutt set fast time during the "money runs" for Snowball Derby Super Late Model competitors, as well in the Pro Late Model and Pro Truck divisions. Honeycutt scored $1,050 for his efforts on one of the rare occasions in racing where it pays to win practice.
