Last year, nearly 40 Street Stock drivers made the trip to Dillon Motor Speedway for the 14th Annual New Year's Bash. The event is always one of the biggest races of the year for Street Stock competitors.
The Street Stock Nationals 100-lap feature pays $2,000 to win. While the event's history is dominated by southeastern drivers such as six-time winner Gary Ledbetter, Jr., drivers from all over the country take part in the event. In 2023, Tommy O'Sullivan took the trophy back home to Massachusetts after racing his way into the feature through his B-Main.
The Street Stocks will not be the only excitement at Dillon Motor Speedway this weekend.
Feature racing begins on Saturday, January 4. Qualifying begins at 3 p.m. ET, with the Street Stocks and the Carolina Mini Stock Challenge qualifying for their Sunday racing festivities.
Four divisions hit the track on Saturday starting at 5 p.m. ET. The B-Main for Legends competitors starts the action, followed by a unique treat new to this year's Bash. Dirt Late Models will hit the pavement at Dillon for a 25-lap feature in the first A-Main of the weekend.
The Challengers/AR Limited division contests its 75-lap feature next, followed by 30-lap features for UCARs and Legends.
The green flag waves at 2 p.m. on Sunday with B-Mains as necessary for Legends, the Carolina Mini Stock Challenge and Street Stocks. The Carolina Mini Stock Challenge competes for 60 laps in their feature, followed by a 30-lap Legends feature before the main event, the Street Stock Nationals.
