Landon DeVaughn Takes Mobile PLM Win After Dustin Smith Disqualification
May 12, 2024
Mobile International Speedway delivered another photo finish on Saturday night.
A couple of weeks ago, it was the ASA Southern Super Series that came down to the wire at Mobile, with Cole Butcher defeating Jake Finch by two-thousandths of a second.
This week, it was Mobile's Crown Stock division offering the theatrics to close out their 20-lap feature. Braeden Kitchen and Chris Mitchell went toe-to-toe for the victory, with Kitchen taking the win by 0.038 seconds.
After the win, Kitchen celebrated with a spectacular series of burnouts and doughnuts on the Mobile frontstretch.
Mobile's next race is scheduled for May 25, with Outlaws, Pro Trucks, Pure Stocks, Crown Stocks and Legacy Stocks on the racing card. We'll see if another dramatic finish will be in store on that Saturday night. Fans can watch that night's racing live on RacingAmerica.TV
