Crown Stock 40, Money Runs Highlight Snowball Derby Preview

The Snowball Derby Preview on Saturday, November 23 welcomes competitors from all divisions to Five Flags Speedway for a day of practice ahead of the 57th Annual Snowball Derby. It is also a chance to win prize money for those practice efforts.

Rarely does it pay to "win practice" in racing, but the Snowball Derby Preview has developed a tradition as an exception to the rule. During the final round of practice, scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CT, each division taking part in the Snowball Derby will take the track with an opportunity to snag the prize for fast time in the session.

The fastest car during the Super Late Model practice money round will collect a $500 cash prize, while the Pro Late Model practice will win $300. $250 will be up for grabs for fast time for the Faith Chapel Outlaws, the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour, the Gulf Real Estate Pro Trucks, the Dock of Pensacola Beach Sportsman, and the Lloyd's Glass Pure Stocks.

Practice for all divisions begins at 10 a.m. CT, giving teams the opportunity to prepare for the money round as well as the Snowball Derby scheduled for December 4-8 at Five Flags Speedway.

Following the practice sessions, the Story & Bleich Roofing Crown Stocks take center stage for the 2nd Annual Crown Stock Derby 40. Last year, the inaugural Crown Stock Derby 40 drew more than 50 competitors, with 30 drivers reaching the main event. Zachary Curtis picked up the victory after setting fast time in qualifying and every round of practice.

The top four finishers in the Crown Stock 40 during the Snowball Derby Preview will earn invitations to the Story & Bleich Crown Stock Invitational 25 on Friday, December 6.
