Denny Hamlin, Sammy Smith and Corey Heim earned this weekend's Xfinity Fastest Lap awards during a full three days of racing at Martinsville Speedway.

Denny Hamlin dominated Sunday's Cook Out 400, winning the second stage and leading 274 of the race's 400 laps. Early in the third stage, Hamlin turned a lap of 20.188 seconds to earn the Xfinity Fastest Lap award.

Hamlin's victory was his sixth at Martinsville Speedway, and the 55th of his NASCAR Cup Series career. It ended a decade-long winless drought at his home state track dating back to 2015.

The victory moved Hamlin up to sixth in the championship standings with Sunday's win. He is currently 41 points behind leader William Byron.

Sammy Smith won the Xfinity Fastest Lap Award for the NASCAR Xfinity Series US Marine Corps 250 on Saturday. Smith clocked in at 20.487 seconds on lap 240 as he battled for the race win.

The Johnston, Iowa native finished 10th after a chaotic last lap, leading six laps late before Austin Hill scored the victory in the race. Smith currently sits sixth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series standings, 78 points behind JR Motorsports teammate Justin Allgaier.

In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series' Boys and Girls Club of the Blue Ridge 200, Corey Heim had the fastest time of the day. Heim led 149 of the race's 200 laps, including the first 106 laps consecutively.

On lap 34, Heim registered a lap of 20.268 seconds for Friday's Xfinity Fastest Lap award. Heim currently leads the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings by 20 markers over Ty Majeski.

This weekend, both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series will be in action at Darlington Raceway during NASCAR's Throwback Weekend. The Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help A Hero 200 takes the track on Saturday, April 5, with the Goodyear 400 on Sunday, April 6.
