Josh Berry will carry a special and unique tribute scheme at this year's Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, celebrating one of the most iconic moments in all of motorsports.

Berry's Wood Brothers Racing No. 21 Ford Mustang will don the immediately recognizable Lotus green and yellow, honoring Jim Clark's victory in the 1965 Indianapolis 500.

The tribute livery was unveiled Thursday morning during a commemorative event at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, where Clark’s race-winning car from the 1965 Indianapolis 500 is on display.

"Really, what Darlington is, is a celebration of not only NASCAR's past, but also motorsport's past," said Wood Brothers Racing president Jon Wood during the unveiling. "I think we've been close-minded to stick to stock car throwbacks. This was a fun one, and I think it celebrates all disciplines of motorsports and branches out internationally more than what we've done in the past."

"This is a great way for us to tell the history of motorsports and honor these amazing stories like this one that have happened over the course of all these years of racing," said Berry. "It's a great way for us to give a little back, remind people how we got here, and give guys like the Wood Brothers the chance to tell these amazing stories."

Clark won two Formula 1 championships during his career from 1960 to 1968. When he and the Lotus-Ford team won the 1965 Indianapolis 500, he became the first non-American race winner in 49 years.

The Wood Brothers also played a role in the milestone victory. The team had been recognized as one of the most innovative in NASCAR regarding improving the speed of pit stops. Ford invited Wood Brothers Racing to assist the Lotus team during the Indianapolis 500.

"This is one of the greatest moments of my life," said Leonard Wood, co-founder of Wood Brothers Racing.". "Looking back, pitting that car from 60 years ago, and looking at this car, and still being here after 75 years pulling for these guys to win races, it's just been awesome."

Ford Motor Company and Wood Brothers Racing have enjoyed a long-standing relationship, dating back to the team's inception in 1950.

Berry scored his first career NASCAR Cup Series victory on Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Pennzoil 400. He is currently 13th in NASCAR Cup Series points following the victory, which punched his ticket into this season's NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

The Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, at 3:00 p.m. ET. Live coverage will air on FOX Sports 1 and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
