Feb 10, 2023
Young up-and-coming racer Conner Jones has secured a six-race deal with ThorSport Racing to pilot the team’s No. 66 Ford during the 2023 season. The 16-year-old driver is the youngest in the history of ThorSport Racing, which was started in 1996.
Jones, a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, has made a name for himself competing in the Late Model, Super Late Model, ARCA, and other series over the past few seasons. He is currently competing in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in the Super Late Model class.
“It’s always been my dream to enter into the NASCAR Truck Series,” said Jones. “I’m thrilled to be signing a multi-year contract with ThorSport Racing. They have a rich history within the Truck Series, along with being proven champions.
This will be a great year for me to learn and gain more experience behind the wheel of a NASCAR Truck. I know I have a strong team and organization surrounding me.
Jones’ debut race with ThorSport will take place at Martinsville Speedway on April 14, followed by events at North Wilkesboro Speedway, World Wide Technology Raceway, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Richmond Raceway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Milwaukee Mile, Bristol Motor Speedway, and Phoenix Raceway.
