As NASCAR is quickly approaching the inaugural Grant Park 220 Chicago Street Race, Spire Motorsports has announced an incredible new partnership for the July 4th race weekend.
The Chicago White Sox will serve as the primary sponsor for Ty Dillon's No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. As part of the partnership, the White Sox colors and branding will be featured on Dillon's car and firesuit, while the White Sox will also host a special NASCAR Night, presented by Xfinity, on June 23.
Dillon's No. 77 Chicago White Sox Chevrolet Camaro will be on display, while fans will also be treated to several family-friendly NASCAR activations and a "fully-charged race day atmosphere," at Guaranteed Rate Field.
“Spire Motorsports is thrilled to partner with the Chicago White Sox for this unique opportunity as part of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race and have Ty Dillon’s No. 77 Chevrolet on display at Guaranteed Rate Field during NASCAR night,” said Spire Motorsports President Bill Anthony. "This partnership gives both Spire Motorsports and the White Sox an opportunity to acknowledge and honor our respective fan bases and celebrate Chicago sports culture together."
In addition to the Chicago White Sox serving as the primary sponsor of the No. 77 machine, Beggars Pizza, the Official Pizza of the Chicago White Sox, will be featured as an associate sponsor on the race car.
“This partnership with Spire Motorsports is truly a unique opportunity to showcase the White Sox brand during one of the most talked about events in Chicago,” said Mike Downey, White Sox director of marketing and promotions. “The NASCAR Chicago Street Race is certain to be an event for the record books, and we’re grateful to team up with Spire Motorsports and Beggars Pizza to be part of what is sure to be a memorable event for all.”
The Grant Park 220 NASCAR Cup Series street race at the Chicago Street Course will be televised live on NBC Sunday, April 2. NBC's race coverage will kick off at 5:30 PM ET. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry the radio broadcast of the event as well.
