Ryan Blaney scored the dramatic victory in a photo finish over Kevin Harvick to lock himself into the Round of 8 in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Blaney edged Harvick to the line by 0.012 seconds as the field wrecked behind him, earning his second win of the season.
Harvick was later disqualified by NASCAR following post-race inspection, resulting in a 38th-place finish and the loss of any stage points.
William Byron, Denny Hamlin and Corey LaJoie rounded out the top five-finishers. The series heads to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval next Sunday for the cut-off race for the Round of 12 of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
