RCR: Road to Daytona
Christopher Bell scored his second straight NASCAR Cup Series win, holding off William Byron for the victory in the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas.
Bell took the lead from Kyle Busch in the closing laps, then withstood the pressure of Byron and Tyler Reddick in a thrilling conclusion to the first race on a new, shortened layout for NASCAR competition at Circuit of The Americas.
Byron finished second, followed by Reddick, Chase Elliott and Busch. Busch led a race-high 42 laps in the event before fading to fifth in the closing laps.
As for Elliott, he charged to a fourth-place finish after being involved in first-lap incident with Ross Chastain to start the race, dropping him to the rear of the field.
