For the first time in more than a decade, NASCAR is bringing its National Series back to the iconic one-mile Rockingham Speedway.
On Thursday, Track Enterprises announced that it has reached an agreement with the track ownership to bring both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to the racetrack in April 2025.
The events will be taking place on the Friday and Saturday of Easter Weekend, April 18th and 19th.
"The entire Track Enterprises team is eager and proud to be working with Dan Lovenheim and everyone at Rockingham Speedway to bring the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series back to one of the most storied venues in NASCAR's proud history," said Bob Sargent, President of Track Enterprises. “We are very fortunate to work with the professional staff at NASCAR and the incredible drivers and teams who will be racing with us. This is shaping up to be a great Easter weekend for the fans and everyone involved.”
Between 1982 and 2004, Rockingham Speedway hosted 42 NASCAR Xfinity Series events, the final four of which were won by Jamie McMurray. Mark Martin was the winningest driver at the one-mile oval, winning 11 Xfinity Series events, including four straight between 1996 and 1997.
The NASCAR Truck Series didn't compete at Rockingham while it was a staple on the Cup and Xfinity Series scheduled, but returned to the track in 2012 and 2013 for a pair of events, won by Cup Series race-winners Kasey Kahne and Kyle Larson.
Current NASCAR Cup Series competitors Ryan Blaney, Erik Jones, Tyler Reddick, Bubba Wallace, and Chase Elliott were all part of the field when the Truck Series returned to Rockingham.

Rockingham Speedway, formerly named North Carolina Motor Speedway, was a staple on the Cup Series schedule for nearly four decades and included a stout list of winners that compliment NASCAR's greatest stars.

The highly-anticipated NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series events at 'The Rock' will take place on April 18 and 19, 2025. Coverage for the events will be on The CW (Xfinity) and FOX Sports (Trucks).
