While Kyle Larson won the Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the second round of this year's NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs concluded, most of the race's playoff drama surrounded the battle for the final playoff spot.
While most of the drivers in a "win-or-go-home" scenario found themselves out of contention early, an apparent cutoff battle brewed between Joey Logano and Tyler Reddick.
With an 11th-place finish, Reddick maintained enough of an advantage to stay ahead of Logano and move on to the Round of 8. Thanks to his playoff points accumulated throughout the season, Reddick will be third in the standings following the reset for the upcoming third round of the playoffs.
However, Logano still moves on in the playoffs following the disqualification of Alex Bowman for failing to meet minimum weight in post-race technical inspection. The disqualification dropped Bowman below the cutoff, moving Logano into the Round of 8.
