Racing America is excited to announce that Season 2 of the Mics Are Hot podcast is launching with all new talent bringing a new perspective to the racing lifestyle. We have some exciting guests coming up for Season 2, check out our social media for episode release dates.
Alanis King and Monica Palumbo will host Season 2 of the podcast building off a very successful first year with Kaitlyn Vincie and Heather DeBeaux. Guests during the first season included Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney, Justin Marks, Toni Breidinger and other racing celebrities.
Mics Are Hotis a fun, light-hearted all-female led podcast talking everything NASCAR and racing related, produced by Christa Leader, Head of Content for Racing America.
“We had such a great response from Season 1 that we knew a Season 2 was in order,” said Leader. “We have a lot of fun talking NASCAR, motorsports and racing life on the podcast with our all-female crew who each play a role in supporting racing either at the track, on camera or behind the scenes. We try to bring a fresh and unique perspective each racing season.”
Alanis King is an automotive and motorsports writer, editor, podcaster, and presenter. She's a video host for an automotive auction site Cars & Bids, a contributing editor at Road & Track Magazine, and co-author of the book Racing with Rich Energy: How a Rogue Sponsor Took Formula One for a Ride.
"I cannot wait to host Season 2 of Mics Are Hot,” said King. “Not only are we bringing you a female-led podcast in the NASCAR and motorsports space, but I also get to co-host with Monica, an absolute icon in the industry. We're so excited to take you behind the scenes with some of your favorite motorsports personalities, and also give you a look into our lives in racing and television.”
Charlotte native Monica Palumbo has over twenty years of TV and film experience. Her credits include filling in for Kelly Ripa on the nationally acclaimed show ‘Live with Regis and Kelly,’ four years as Miss Sprint Cup for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, co-hosting on the hit morning radio show “The Ace and TJ Show” in 2012 and for several years worked as a reporter for the SPEED Channel. Monica now enjoys being an in-stadium race reporter and doing emcee work. She also keeps busy by chasing after her two little boys and has another one on the way.
“I am thrilled to host Season 2 of Mics are Hot! The NASCAR world has so much to share and I’m excited to bring insight with this all-female led podcast,” said Palumbo. “Living life on the road is an adventure, and we will have many stories to share.”
