Love's RV Stop to Sponsor Front Row's Michael McDowell and Zane Smith at Talladega
Love's RV Stops will serve as the primary sponsor for Front Row Motorsports' Michael McDowell and Zane Smith in this weekend's NASCAR Cup and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races at Talladega.
Front Row Motorsports will certainly stand out on the track this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway as the bright yellow Love's colors will adorn Michael McDowell's No. 34 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series and Zane Smith's No. 38 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
This week, Love's -- a longtime partner of Front Row Motorsports -- will promote its Love's RV Stops, which are located at or adjacent to Love's Travel Stops across the country.
It's the perfect convenience for NASCAR fans, as you have snacks, drinks, fuel, and groceries available at Love's Travel Stops, as well as a safe, clean, and well-maintained place to park a camper.
“NASCAR fans love to travel and love to camp,” said McDowell in a team press release. “Our family loves to travel, too. Now we have the perfect place to stop while we’re on the road with our motorhome. The Love’s RV Stops have everything you need to make your trip even more enjoyable and convenient.”
As of the publishing of this story, Love's already has more than 30 of its Love's RV Stop sites up and running, and the company has expansion happening across the country.
For Smith, the 2022 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion, it's an awesome concept.
“It’s cool to see Love’s Travel Stops helping out more travelers, campers and NASCAR fans,” commented Smith. “My family takes their motorcoach all across the country on trips all the time for racing, fishing or camping and Love’s is always there to help them out.”
Additionally, PEAK will return to the hoods of both McDowell's and Smith's machines this weekend as well.
Speaking of peak, McDowell and Smith are typically at peak performance at superspeedways. McDowell, the 2021 Daytona 500 champion, has two top-three finishes at the 2.66-mile superspeedway in Alabama, and he likes his chances to score his second victory of the 2023 season on Sunday.
“I love Talladega, the draft, and our chances to win there,” McDowell explained. “It’s always a challenge to avoid the chaos, but we’ve been able to do that more than not. I like our chances on Sunday.”
Smith, likewise, is skilled on superspeedways. The Front Row Motorsports driver has won the last two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events at Daytona International Speedway. He'll look to add his first-career win at Talladega this weekend.
“Our superspeedway program is always one of the best,” said Smith. “I think we’ll be up front and contending for the win and our chance to advance to the championship.”
McDowell made it into the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs in what has been the best season ever for the Front Row Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series team, however he was narrowly eliminated in the Round of 16.
Smith is still alive in his quest for back-to-back NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championships with three races remaining in the season.
