Inclement Weather Forces Postponement of 2024 Daytona 500 to Monday at 4:00 PM ET
The 2024 Daytona 500, originally scheduled to run Sunday at Daytona International Speedway, has been postponed to Monday, February 19 at 4:00 PM ET. Coverage will remain on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Due to the persistence of inclement weather, NASCAR is set to have the first-ever Monday doubleheader at Daytona International Speedway, the sanctioning body announced in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 2024 Daytona 500, the season-opener for the NASCAR Cup Series, has been postponed until Monday, February 19th at 4:00 PM ET. Coverage for the event will remain on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, as originally scheduled.
Originally scheduled to run on Sunday, the 500-mile contest at 'The World Center of Racing' is set to follow the United Rentals 300 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, originally scheduled for Saturday, which was postponed until Monday at 11:00 AM ET.
That race, the season-opener for the second-tier series, will be broadcast on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. When that event gets going on Monday morning, Jesse Love is scheduled to lead the field to green.
Per NASCAR, fans with Saturday grandstand tickets and admission to the Hard Rock Bet Fanzone may attend both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series events on Monday.

The NASCAR RaceDay pre-race show will remain scheduled for Sunday. Fans interested in watching can tune in on FS1 at 11:00 AM ET, and then on FOX at 1:00 PM ET.
When Sunday's 200-lap contest gets going from Daytona International Speedway, Joey Logano and Michael McDowell will be leading the field to green, after securing their spots on the front row in Wednesday's single-vehicle qualifying session.
Tyler Reddick and Christopher Bell will start in third and fourth place, after winning their respective Bluegreen Vacations Duel on Thursday. Chase Elliott will round out the top five starts for the prestigious event. Austin Cindric will start sixth, with Alex Bowman, Denny Hamlin, Rookie of The Year contender Carson Hocevar, and John Hunter Nemechek completing the first five rows in the starting order for Monday's event.
