On Wednesday morning, Hendrick Motorsports announced a five-year contract extension and expanded partnership with current primary sponsorship partner Valvoline, which will see the brand continue on with the organization through the end of the 2029 NASCAR Cup Series season.

As part of the extension, Valvoline will expand its 2024 primary sponsorship of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and driver William Byron to eight races, which is up from the previously announced three-race deal. With this expansion, Byron's No. 24 machine is officially sold out on primary sponsorship space for the remainder of the season.

Valvoline will return as a six-race primary sponsorship partner for Byron in each of the next five seasons, beginning with 2025, and Valvoline will also remain a three-race primary sponsorship partner for Kyle Larson and the No. 5 team each year.

Additionally, Valvoline will remain an associate sponsorship partner on all four Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series entries through the end of the 2029 season.

The partnership, which has been in place since the 2014 season, will continue to strengthen over the next half decade.

“Valvoline has been the Official Lubricants Partner of Hendrick Motorsports for over a decade with its products used in the team’s Chevrolet racing engines since 2014,” said Jamal Muashsher, president and chief executive officer, Valvoline Global Operations. “We are thrilled to announce this extension and enhancement of our partnership. This collaboration represents the blend of two iconic, trusted brands driven by a shared passion for excellence and winning performance. Together, we look forward to pushing the boundaries of innovation and continuing to dominate the racetrack with our cutting-edge lubricant solutions and this world class team. Our continued alliance with Hendrick Motorsports reaffirms our commitment to delivering unmatched quality and technology to all drivers and fans alike.”

For Hendrick Motorsports, the increased investment from Valvoline is considered a, "privilege," and team owner Rick Hendrick is proud to see the company lean heavily into it's relationship with Byron, who has amassed 13 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series level despite only being 26-years-old.

“We’re privileged to expand our incredible relationship with Valvoline,” said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports. “They raise the bar each season, from the elite performance of the products in our race cars to the fan-favorite Valvoline paint scheme designs. William has quickly become a bona fide star in our sport, and I believe he’s just scratching the surface of what’s possible. He and Kyle are champions and proven winners, and we’re proud to have Valvoline as a primary sponsor of both of their teams. We look forward to many more victories together.”

Two of Byron's 13 career wins have come with the Valvoline colors as the primary sponsorship partner on his race car as he scored wins at Phoenix and Watkins Glen in 2023 with Valvoline on his car. Larson has also taken the company to victory lane quite a few times in his short tenure with Hendrick Motorsports. Larson has reached victory lane with Vavoline four times since joining the organization in 2021.
