Race Results: NCS Cook Out 400 at Martinsville

Jones is now credited with last place in the 38-car field for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series event, the seventh race of the 2025 season. The penalty results in a net loss of 18 points.

Jones originally earned 13 points from the 24th-place effort before the disqualification, as well as six points for finishing fifth in stage one. Instead, he will be awarded just one championship point for the 38th-place result. That lowers Jones from 21st to 29th in the NASCAR Cup Series standings.

The new top 10 for the race’s first stage is Joey Logano, Alex Bowman, AJ Allmendinger, Brad Keselowski, John Hunter Nemechek, Ryan Preece, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, Cole Custer, and Kyle Larson.

The No. 43 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Toyota Camry XSE, as well as the No. 10 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet driven by Ty Dillon, will be taken back to the NASCAR R&D Center for further evaluation this week.

Denny Hamlin was named the official winner of the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway after passing post-race inspection.
