Connor Zilisch's second career NASCAR Cup Series start will come in the longest race on the series calendar.

Trackhouse Racing announced Thursday that Zilisch will pilot the No. 87 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25.

The Coca-Cola 600 is one of the sport's crown-jewel events, with a history dating back to 1960. It is also the longest race of the season, with the 600-mile distance offering a complete test of driver and team on Memorial Day weekend.

“It’s awesome to have the opportunity to race in one of NASCAR’s coolest events,” Zilisch said. “The Charlotte 600 is one of the most prestigious races in NASCAR. It’s going to be a physical and mental challenge because that race is so tough. I’m very appreciative for (Trackhouse owner and founder) Justin (Marks) and everyone at Red Bull for their support and turning this opportunity into a reality.”

The 18-year-old from Charlotte, N.C. is a Trackhouse Racing development driver, competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with JR Motorsports as part of the agreement.

Through 11 career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Zilisch has two wins and three pole positions. Last week, Zilisch earned his first pole at an oval by qualifying first at Martinsville Speedway. He also made his NASCAR Cup Series debut earlier this year at Circuit of The Americas.

Zilisch finished 37th in that race, collected in an incident with teammate Daniel Suarez. However, he won the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Circuit of The Americas that weekend, his second victory in the series.

Last year, Zilisch won the Mission 200 at The Glen contested at Watkins Glen International. He was also part of the winning LMP2 teams in both the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring during the 2024 season.

Prior to his NASCAR Cup Series debut in March, Zilisch expressed the desire to be the youngest winner in the NASCAR Cup Series. The Coca-Cola 600 will offer him another chance to best the record currently held by three-time series champion Joey Logano.

Logano was 19 years, 1 month, and 4 days old when he won the 2009 Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The Coca-Cola 600 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 25 at 6:00 PM ET on Amazon Prime, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
