Brenden Queen, a standout from the CARS Tour ranks, turned the fastest lap of Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practcie for Saturday's Wright Brand 250 at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

The driver of the No. 1 TRICON Garage Toyota Tundra TRD is making his NASCAR National Series debut this weekend. The fast lap of the session for Queen was a 17.911 sec. (125.621 mph) lap, which Queen turned near the end of the session.

In all, Queen turned 30 laps in the practice session.

Queen was 0.039 sec. faster than his TRICON Garage teammate Corey Heim, who finished sixth in the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro Speedway last season.

Tanner Gray made it a TRICON Garage sweep of the top-three spots in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice while Bayley Currey clocked in fourth-fastest in the No. 41 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado.

Ty Majeski was fifth-fastest despite having an issue in the opening minutes of the session, where his hood flew up on the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Ford F-150 while Majeski was turning laps on track.

In an odd sequence at the beginning of the session, Stewart Friesen also experienced his hood flying open during his initial run on track.

Taylor Gray, Jack Wood, Dean Thompson, Nick Sanchez, and Chase Purdy rounded out the top-10 fastest drivers in the session.

Purdy, who drives the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, turned the most laps in the session with 59.

With the newly repaved track surface at North Wilkesboro Speedway, it doesn't appear that tire wear will be much of an issue this weekend for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, as lap times stayed very consistent throughout the course of a run in practice.
