Ally Financial, a long-time sponsorship partner of Alex Bowman and Hendrick Motorsports, is again pulling out all the stops for NASCAR's annual trip to Nashville Superspeedway.
The brand began its partnership with the championship-winning organization in 2019 as a primary partner for Jimmie Johnson, and since 2021, has supported Bowman in the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
In addition to the brand's support of Hendrick Motorsports, Ally has also worked closely with Nashville Superspeedway, serving as the title sponsor of the three previous NASCAR Cup Series events at the 1.33-mile facility in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Now, for the fourth consecutive season, the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports entry will carry a special paint scheme at Nashville Superspeedway on June 30. Ally Financial ambassador Dale Earnhardt, Jr. designed this special one-off paint scheme. The former NASCAR Cup Series driver also designed the brand's special paint scheme in 2021 and 2022.
The brightly-colored paint scheme features "scribbles" on the car, inspired by a true story of when Alex read to a first-grade class at Clara Love Elementary in April during Financial Literacy Month. One student referred to Alex's autograph on a book he read to the kids as a scribble and everyone, including Alex, thought it was hilarious.
The scheme also highlights the Ally Truthmark, located in the guitar pick where the jack goes. A "Live Racing" sign sits by the fuel pump -- a nod to Nashville's live music scene and the vibrancy of the city. Also included on the paint scheme is a record, located on the roof behind the No. 48, and finally, painted side skirts, a trademark on any Dale Jr.-designed racecar.
It's been a strong first half of the season for Bowman, who currently sits 12th in NASCAR Cup Series points on the strength of four top-fives and a series-high 10 top-10s in 17 races.
In three starts for Bowman at Nashville Superspeedway, the Tuscon, Arizona native has a best finish of 14th in 2021, whereas the organization itself has won two of the track's three Cup Series events.
The 31-year-old racer is still looking for his first NASCAR Cup Series victory of 2024, in what would be the driver's first victory at NASCAR's top level since March 2022.
Bowman, Ally Financial, and Hendrick Motorsports will look to extract some magic from this special paint scheme and score the team's third victory at the facility, joining Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott.
