In a galaxy far, far away... Well, not that far away actually.
This weekend's NASCAR Cup Series season finale at Phoenix Raceway will feature two Star Wars themed schemes thanks to a partnership between 23XI Racing and sponsor Columbia.
With the help from Luke Skywalker himself, actor Mark Hamill, Bubba Wallace showed off his No. 23 Columbia Toyota that will feature the colors of the X-Wing fighter used in the iconic movie franchise. Wallace will also have a helmet and firesuit that resemble those worn by Skywalker throughout the first three movies.
Wallace is not the only one getting in on the Star Wars action, though.
Teammate Tyler Reddick's No. 45 Columbia Toyota will feature a scheme resembling a TIE fighter, the dreaded Empire's fighter ships that go up against the Rebel's X-Wings in many of the movie's iconic space battle scenes.
The unique schemes are designed to help promote Columbia's new Star Wars Collection, which includes clothes and accessories inspired by the movie franchise.
While teammates on the track, the adversarial schemes had Wallace's spotter Freddie Kraft wondering if they should work together or do battle during Sunday's race at Phoenix.
