Saturday's Sunoco Modified feature at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park during the Sunoco World Series saw a dramatic finish, as winner Todd Owen and runner-up Keith Rocco spun across the finish line.
Rocco led the majority of the 30-lap feature, taking the top spot on lap six from Tyler Barry. However, Owen made a move to Rocco's inside entering turn three on the final lap, leading to both drivers trading side-to-side contact on corner exit. This sent both Owen and Rocco spinning towards the finish line, with Owen sliding across the line ahead of Rocco for the victory.
The two drivers shared a tense exchange on the frontstretch before their post-race interviews.
"I was waiting for the last corner to try to make a divebomb on him," said Owen. "It doesn't matter what I think. It's alright. It's a good weekend for us. We came out and got a couple of wins, so that's good for us."
"I don't really have to explain. I think the fans see what happened. I've got to thank everybody on this team. Second place, what are you going to do?"
