Racing Returns to North Wilkesboro Speedway This Summer

The SMART Modified Tour will compete at North Wilkesboro Speedway as part of the Racetrack Revival in August.
The Modifieds will be at the historic venue from August 1-3. They will contest a pair of 50-lap features which will not count towards SMART Modified Tour points.
While North Wilkesboro is best known for its decades of hosting the NASCAR Cup Series, it was also a mainstay for Modified racing in the Carolinas. The original SMART Modified Tour accompanied both NASCAR weekends during the 1996 season, with Junior Miller and Frank Fleming winning those two events.
Other drivers who have won in Modifieds at North Wilkesboro include the likes of Red Byron, Marshall Teague, Curtis Turner, Tim and Fonty Flock, Buck Backer, Junior Johnson, Gwyn Staley, Ray Hendrick, Geoff Bodine and Jimmy Spencer.
More details are expected to be announced as they become available for this event, as well as the rest of the plans for Racetrack Revival in August and October.
