The full schedule for the Carolina Family Pool & Patio $25,000-to-Win Legends Race at Southern National Motorsports Park has been announced.
With the 24th Thanksgiving Classic now in the books, Southern National Motorsports Park turns its attention to the newest addition to its calendar, the Carolina Family Pool & Patio $25,000-to-Win Legend Race.
The full schedule for the event has now been unveiled, promising a full day of racing on Saturday, December 7.
The weekend unofficially begins on Wednesday, December 4, with two hours of optional early registration starting at 6 p.m. ET for those who arrive at the Lucama, North Carolina facility earlier in the week.
On-track activity kicks off on Thursday, December 5 with a day of practice for the Legends teams taking part in the event. Registration begins at 8 a.m. ET, with a drivers' meeting at 11 a.m. before practice begins at Noon.
Practice will run until 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, with the track closing at 7 p.m.
Teams will enjoy a final practice from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 6. That will set the stage for qualifying, beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The top 10 qualifiers will lock their way into Saturday's 70-lap main event.
For the rest of the field, a day full of feature racing awaits on Saturday, December 7. Grandstands will open at 9:30 a.m. ET, with the first green flag at 10:00 a.m. ET for the F Mains.
For the D, E and F Mains, each race will be 15 laps or a 15-minute time limit. The top five cars from each race will advance. The C Mains will be 20 laps each, with a 20-minute time limit.
Before the C Mains, there will also be a 15-lap pole shuffle for the top 10 drivers from Friday's qualifying.
The pair of B Mains will complete the lineup for the $25,000-to-win A Main, with the top seven cars transferring from each B Main. The two B Mains will be 25 laps with a 30-minute time limit.
Following a tire scuff session and driver introductions, Saturday's racing concludes with the 70-lap A Main. Those who have earned their spot in the A Main will compete for the $25,000 grand prize.
