NASCAR Cup Series driver William Byron will be behind the wheel of Wilson Motorsports’ No. 24 entry at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway on February 13 and 14. His Hendrick Motorsports partners Axalta, Liberty University, Valvoline and HendrickCars.com will adorn his Donnie Wilson-owned Super Late Model. Until last summer, Byron had not driven a Super Late Model since 2015 when he made three starts in the CARS Super Late Model Tour, finishing in the top five in each race – including a win and a runner-up result. In August 2021, he made two starts in the Midwest Tour, turning the fastest lap in qualifying at Madison International Speedway.
Qualifying for Sunday’s 35-lap race kicks off at 6 p.m. ET at New Smyrna Speedway, with the race at 7:30 p.m. The World Series of Asphalt continues Monday with the Clyde Hart Memorial Super Late Model 100.
