The ASA brand gets its 2024 season underway this weekend at Crisp Motorsports Park with Protect Your Melon – Buckle Up SpeedFest. SpeedFest has always been one of the first big Late Model events every year, and the 2024 edition is no different.
Fans unable to attend the event can subscribe to RacingAmerica.TV and watch all of the action. Subscribers will be able to watch both qualifying on Friday, January 19 and feature racing on Saturday, January 20.

A pair of NASCAR Cup Series competitors will be taking part in this year’s SpeedFest Super Late Model event. On the Super Late Model side co-sanctioned by the ASA Southern Super Series and ASA/CRA Super Series, Stewart-Haas Racing’s Josh Berry makes his second SpeedFest appearance. While Berry cut his teeth in Late Model Stock Cars, he has shown plenty of speed in occasional Super Late Model appearances, including taking the pole position for the 2022 Snowball Derby.
In the Pro Late Model 100-lapper, Ross Chastain will pilot a Rackley WAR entry to kick off his 2024 season. While Chastain competed in the Late Model Stock portion of NASCAR All-Star Week festivities at North Wilkesboro Speedway in 2023, this will be his first Pro Late Model appearance in several years.
Both fields will also see numerous short track stars eager to start their year in victory lane. Bubba Pollard has been the driver to do just that in the past two runnings of SpeedFest, and he hopes to make it three in a row this year.
Other notables on the Super Late Model entry list include Stephen Nasse, Casey Roderick, Jake Garcia, Gio Ruggiero, Cole Butcher and Matt Craig.
