History of SpeedFest

SpeedFest began in 2005 at Lakeland, Florida's USA International Speedway, with Charlie Menard winning the inaugural edition of the event. USA International Speedway hosted SpeedFest until 2008, when the track closed, with Mike Fritts, Eddie Hoffman and Jeff Choquette scoring SpeedFest wins at USA.

The next three editions of SpeedFest took place at Lanier Raceplex, and produced some notable winners. Kyle Busch won the event in 2009 and 2010, while a 15-year-old Chase Elliott won in 2011.

Cordele Motor Speedway hosted its first SpeedFest in 2012, and has remained the only track to host the event since. Kyle Busch returned to SpeedFest victory lane in 2012. Cordele has produced SpeedFest winners such as Elliott, Choquette Harrison Burton, Chandler Smith, Connor Okrzesik Corey Heim and, of course, Bubba Pollard. Pollard enters this year's SpeedFest with a three-year winning streak in the race.
