JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Entry Form Released for SpeedFest 100 Featuring the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Jan 3, 2024
Officials with Champion Racing Association are pleased to announce the 2024 schedule of events for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS (CRA LMS). The schedule features 11 different races, 10 points paying, at six different tracks in three states. Among those stops are two race tracks never before featured on the CRA LMS calendar, and a return to Michigan for the first time in over a decade.
As it did in 2023, the season begins for the CRA LMS in DeGraff, OH during the Cabin Fever Championships at Shadybowl Speedway on Saturday, April 13th. Last season, after beating Mother Nature and her futile attempts to wash away the event, Josh Sage survived an intense race that saw him included in a track-blocking crash in turn one. The Ohio native fought back and collected the win over Billy Hutson and David Barnhart.
The Series makes the first trip of the season to Anderson Speedway two Saturday’s later on April 27th. The first of two tune-up events before the prestigious Madison County 200, Anderson Speedway is featured on the schedule a total of four times. A return on Saturday, June 15th, the Madison County 200 on Saturday, July 27th, and the penultimate event of the 2024 season on Saturday, September 14th.
In May, the CRA LMS return to Michigan for the first time since 2011. On Saturday, May 11th a co-sanctioned contest will put the CRA LMS head-to-head with the Owosso Speedway Sportsman drivers. Then, on Sunday, May 26th Mason, MI is the home of the CRA LMS with an inaugural trip to Corrigan Oil Speedway, featuring another co-sanctioned throwdown between the track regulars and the travelers of CRA. Both tracks find themselves centrally located in the state, with Corrigan Oil Speedway just outside of the capital of Lansing, while Owosso sits just a few minutes northeast of “Spartan Country”.
The highbanked thrill rides return to the schedule again in 2024, the first coming on Saturday, August 17th at Salem Speedway. The first ever visit to the southern Indiana race track came in July of last season. Cassten Everidge set fast time to start the day, and then got locked in a battle with Dayton, OH driver, Don Mahaffey. The field was paced by Mahaffey’s No.18 for the first 28 consecutive laps as the Shadybowl Speedway ace held off Everidge’s every challenge. Everidge finally found a way to the front with his No.63 on lap 29 and led the final 11 rotations before collecting the win.
Sunday, September 1st the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman will take their talents to the Historic Highbanks of Winchester Speedway for the first time in the season. An increased purse awaits ‘The Bravest Drivers in the World’ as they co-headline the weekend with the ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.
The 2024 season also comes to an end at Winchester Speedway during the traditional Winchester 400 Weekend. Select LMS drivers will compete on Friday, October 11th during the New Stars Race, before the Season Finale on Saturday, October 12th.
Caleb Reschar, the defending Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS Champion will be honored on Friday, January 5th during the CRA Awards Ceremony in Plymouth, IN. Champions and award winners from ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, and the CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS will also be recognized.
