First ACT Monadnock Event in 19 Years Could Provide Shakeup
May 18, 2022
Citing the high probability of inclement weather forecasted for the Greenville area this Weekend, Greenville-Pickens Speedway Promoter Anthony Anders, in conjunction with Southern Super Series officials, has pulled the plug on this weekend's scheduled Busy Beaver Tree Service 100.
“I’ve gotten well versed on the weather here at Greenville-Pickens over the last 8 years," stated Anders, “and the odds are definitely against us for Saturday. Given the high cost of travel for the teams and the unlikelihood of racing, this seems like the most sensible decision. There was a lot of anticipation for this event, so we’re disappointed that Mother Nature wasn’t on our side”.
Southern Super Series Series director Tim Bryant agreed with Anders decision.
“We were really looking forward to the Greenville-Pickens event, so we too are deeply disappointed. However, in the best interest of our racers and our tracks, we believe Anthony has made a good decision”.
The Southern Super Series now shifts their focus to Montgomery Motor Speedway for the June 11th Rumble by the River 125.
