ASA Southern Super Series and Southern National Motorsports Park regret to announce the postponement of the June 22nd Accent Imaging 100 due to extremely unfavorable weather forecasts.
With forecasts showing between an 80% & 90% chance of rain and some forecasts showing upwards of an inch of total rainfall it was decided to make an early call so the racers would not incur unnecessary expense.
"We were looking forward to our first-ever trip to Southern National Motorsports Park" stated Series Director Tim Bryant. "Michael Diaz has wanted an event for some time and unfortunately Mother Nature is not wanting to cooperate. We look forward to making our first trip to SNMP as soon as we possibly can."
Dates are being considered for a makeup event. Further information will be released on that in the coming days.
The $10,000 to win Shootout by The Sea scheduled for Saturday, June 24th at Carteret County Speedway is still moving forward as planned at this time. The series and track are watching the forecast closely and will update any changes for that event as needed.
