JACKSONVILLE, NC – The second running of the Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars will pay $20,000 to win at the conclusion of the 200-lap race on Sunday, November 13, 2022.
Along with the purse increase, the 2022 Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars will have a new format. Last year’s race was 150 laps, split into three stages. This year’s race will be 200 laps, split into three stages. Additionally, the second running of Goodyear All American Speedway’s autumn highlight will be a six-tire race.
“Last year’s Battle of the Stars was a bigger success than we could have dreamed of and we’re looking forward to making this year’s race even bigger,” track operator Anthony Goodyear said. “We’re upping the pay to $20,000-to-win and tweaking the format to make the race even more exciting and expanding on the entire weekend.”

The format this year will have the race split into three stages, with the first two stages running 75 laps in length and the final stage running 50 laps. Teams will be able to change either fuel or tires during the stage breaks, but cannot change both at the same time, a move designed to enhance strategy. Qualifying for the Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars will take place on Saturday, November 12, along with racing later that evening for Jr. Mini Cups, Bombers, Champ Karts, and the finale for the Atlantic Turfscapes Super Truck Series.
If over 32 cars attempt to qualify for the Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars, the top-20 will be locked in on time while the remainder of the field will be determined in a Last Chance Qualifier on Sunday afternoon to kick off the racing program. Sunday’s racing program will also feature Bandoleros, Bombers, and Legends prior to the green flag for the 200-lap main event.
Five drivers will have guaranteed starting positions if they attempt to run the race. 2021 Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars race winner Josh Berry, the 2022 Goodyear All American Speedway track champion, the track’s winningest Late Model driver in 2022 (if that is different from the champion), the winner of the Orange Blossom Shootout at Orange County Speedway on Saturday, October 8, 2022, and the winner of the Prelude to the Battle on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Tickets for the 2nd Annual Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars will be available for purchase with race day, two day and three day passes available. The race will also be broadcast live on Racing America.
