After a successful tenure at Cordele Motor Speedway, Ricky Brooks and track owner, Greg Noland, have mutually agreed to part ways effective as of April 21, 2025. With continued growth and expansion for the United Auto Racing Alliance (UARA), Brooks plans to concentrate his efforts on the sanctioning body and as technical director for select short track events across the country
"Over the last year, we have grown Cordele into one of the premier short track facilities in the country," said Brooks. "But as we continue to see growth in the UARA National Super Late Model Series, and continue to maintain the UARA Sportsman, I felt it was best for me to concentrate our full efforts on that venture. With that said, I appreciate the Noland's belief in me, and I wish them success in their future endeavors."
Under Brooks and Noland's leadership, Cordele Motor Speedway saw a major upgrade in the facilities. Updated restrooms, a new VIP tower, a new public address system, and the addition of a jumbotron in the infield are some of the improvements the speedway has seen over the last year. Brooks and Noland also successfully revived the legendary World Crown 300 race, moving it to Cordele last October. And, just this past weekend, Brooks and Noland ushered in the debut of the CARS Tour Late Model series to Cordele Motor Speedway. The race featured nearly 70 cars in two divisions, including NASCAR Hall Of Famer, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and saw the largest attendance in the nearly 40-year history of the speedway.
