The Oxford Championship Series event scheduled for April 26, as well as PASS and ACT racing planned for April 27 at Oxford Plains Speedway, have been postponed due to forecasted weather.
Both days of Oxford Plains Speedway's doubleheader weekend have been postponed.
On Friday, Oxford Plains officials announced their Oxford Championship Series Kennebec Rentals Opening Day had been canceled due to a poor weather forecast for Saturday. At that time, officials with the track, as well as the Pro All Stars Series and Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour hoped to proceed with Sunday's scheduled racing for the respective tours.
However, officials announced Saturday morning that the PASS Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds and Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour event would also be postponed due to the inclement weather forecast. Both expected rain and colder temperatures were cited as reasons for the postponement.
The PASS portion of Sunday's show will be moved one week to Sunday, May 4. However, the American-Canadian Tour is scheduled to compete at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in the 27th Annual Community Bank 150.
Therefore, the Pine Tree State 125 for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is now scheduled for October 18. That event joins the season-ending PASS 400 weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway on October 18-19.
The PASS postponement creates renewed hope for a doubleheader opening weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway. The Oxford Championship Series divisions are scheduled to compete on Saturday, May 3 alongside the rescheduled PASS event on Sunday, May 4.
