Nearly 70 Drivers Entered for 50th Oxford 250

Currently, 68 Super Late Model teams are entered for this weekend's 50th Annual Spencer Group Paving Oxford 250, prepared to battle for one of the most prestigious trophies in short track racing.

Past Oxford 250 winners on this year’s entry list include three-time winners Travis Benjamin and Mike Rowe, two-time winners Eddie MacDonald and Ben Rowe, as well as Cole Butcher, Cassius Clark, Johnny Clark, Gary Drew, Curtis Gerry, Glen Luce, Scott Robbins, Bubba Pollard and Jeremie Whorff.

Along with being one of the marquee races in the Northeast, the Oxford 250 is also part of the Pro All Stars Series North and National Championships. As it turns out, the top three are the same in both title races, with Max Cookson leading D.J. Shaw and Trevor Sanborn. All three drivers will be looking for a strong showing to bolster their title hopes, as well as their first Oxford 250 wins.

The PASS North Super Late Models have made three visits to Oxford Plains earlier this year for 150-lap features. Austin Teras won the first two of those events, while Ben Rowe won earlier this month in the final PASS tune-up for the Oxford 250.

Super Late Models are also the premier division in the Oxford Championship Series that runs all year long at Oxford Plains Speedway. SLM winners this season who are entered for the Oxford 250 looking to pick up another trophy include the aforementioned Cookson, as well as Travis Benjamin, Kyle DeSouza, Dave Farrington, Jr., Joe Pastore, Scott Moore, Kate Re, Calvin Rose, Jr., Mike Rowe and Austin Teras.

Other notable names on the entry list include former PASS National Champion Derek Griffith, defending PASS North champion Ryan Kuhn, 2017 ARCA Menards Series champion Austin Theriault making his first racing appearance in nearly four years, and nine-time Oxford Plains Speedway track champion Jeff Taylor.
