Michael Atwell picked up the pole award for Sunday's 49th Hardee's Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway during qualifying.
Michael Atwell will start on the pole for the 49th Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway, with Stephen Nasse joining him on the front row for Sunday's UARA National Super Late Model event.
Atwell clocked in at 15.511 seconds around South Alabama Speedway on Saturday, winning the $1,000 prize accompanying the pole award for the event.
Nasse qualified second, following a runner-up finish in Friday's Baby Rattler 125 won by Jake Finch. Gabe Sommers qualified fourth, with Finch and Michael Hinde rounding out the top five.
The Rattler 250 was originally scheduled for Saturday. However, the threat for severe weather postponed feature racing until Sunday, March 16. The green flag will wave at 1 p.m. CT/2 p.m. ET, starting with the UARA Sportsman 75. Dodge Carlbert earned the pole position for that race, followed by Kody Brusso, Tim Sozio, Palmer Haag and Sammy Coghill.
