Conner Jones set fast time in Super Late Model qualifying, with a time of 17.881 seconds. A three-time winner over the past two years in Pro Late Model competition at the World Series, Jones appeared in a handful of Super Late Model marquee events to close out the 2022 season and begins his first full-time Super Late Model season in 2023.
Casey Roderick was second-fastest, followed by Gio Ruggiero, two-time World Series champion Derek Griffith and Gabe Sommers. With a three-car invert for the Super Late Models, Ruggiero will start on the pole for their 35-lap feature.
Jones nearly swept the fast time awards for both Late Model divisions. Instead, Jones qualified second behind Ryan Luza, making his World Series debut. Luza clocked in at 18.136 seconds around the high-banked half-mile for their 35-lap feature. With a seven-car invert, Charlie Keeven will lead the Pro Late Model field to the green flag.
Friday's program also includes features for Sportsman (35 laps), Florida Modifieds (35 laps) and Bomber A (20 laps). Racing begins at 7:30 p.m. ET Friday night.
