NASCAR Veteran David Ragan to Compete in SpeedFest 2023

Nashville, TN (Tuesday, January 10, 2022) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS official have released the 2023 schedule for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance. 2023 will mark the template body Pro Late Model touring series’ 13th season of competition and consists of 11 races in four states.
“We are really looking forward to all eleven JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour events this season,” noted new Series Director, Scott Menlen. “The venues we are visiting this season have a rich history and plenty of character. Combining that with a loyal fan base and some of the best late model touring drivers in the country, gives JEGS Tour fans some great shows to start marking on their 2023 calendars.”
SpeedFest, a special non-points event, starts the season in a few short weeks at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia on Saturday, January 28th. Both the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and ASA/CRA Super Series will be in competition. Catch all the action at the track (tickets) or on Racing America TV.
The points season begins in Michigan at Birch Run Speedway on Saturday, May 13th. Points will be scored for both the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour championship and the Birch Run Speedway CRA Triple Crown championship.
From Birch Run, the tour heads south to the historic Salem Speedway in southern Indiana. Salem Speedway has held seven JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour events. Last year, Casey Roderick conquered the high banks, winning the Midwest 100. The JEGS Tour will be joined by the ASA/CRA Super Series on Saturday night, June 3rd.
Owosso Speedway hosts the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour for the first time in six years on Saturday, June 10th. This will be a 100 lap feature event on the newly paved three-eighths mile oval that has traditionally produced lots of side-by-side racing.
The tour’s second Triple Crown race at Birch Run Speedway is on Saturday, July 1st. Birch Run Speedway is another race track in the region that has made several facility and guest accommodation improvements in recent years.
Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway welcomes the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour for its only tour points race in Nashville of the season. The 100-lap Pro Late Model race on Saturday, July 29th will be a points race for both the JEGS Tour and the stars of the Nashville Pro Late Model division. The 500 Sprint Car Tour will co-headline the event with the JEGS Tour making for a can’t miss night at the fairgrounds for auto racing enthusiasts.
The 11th Running of the CRA Masters of the Pros 184 will be held on Saturday, August 19th at Owosso Speedway. This will be the first time the $10,000 to win, $1,000 to start, elite Pro Late Model race has been ran in Owosso, Michigan (read more).
The Labor Day tradition is up next as the series will head to the legendary half mile high banks of Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana on Labor Day Weekend, the first weekend in September and the series’ first of two visits in 2023.
The tour then heads back to Birch Run Speedway for the Birch Run Triple Crown Series Championship event on Saturday, September 9th. Though Carson Hocevar won this race last year, Chase Burda won the Triple Crown, just two points ahead of Kyle Crump, and five markers in front of Kattie Hettinger.
The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will crown their 2023 Tour Champion at Winchester Speedway as part of the 52ndRunning of the Winchester 400 Race Weekend on Friday, October 13th. Owensboro, Kentucky racer, Dakota Stroup was crowned JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion of 2022 at Winchester a season ago.
The final race on Tour for ’23 is part of the famed All American 400 Race Weekend at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. This 100-lap non-points race for the JEGS Tour serves as the Championship race for the Nashville Pro Late Models. Over 35 cars entered last year’s race, won by Jake Bollman driving the Rackley WAR number 25 entry. The All American 400 Race Weekend is Friday though Sunday, November 3-4-5, 2023.
