APC United Late Model Series
Kendra Adams Looking to Improve Best United Racing Series Finish
Aug 9, 2024
Round 7 of the United Racing Series hits the banking of Sunset Speedway on August 10th, 2024 for the 2nd NTN Triple Crown Race. This weekend's event will host a 200-lap feature race with some of the most competitive racers in the province.
The 2024 season started rough for Sheridan with 3 DNF’s, 2 of them being on stops on the APC United Racing Series. Since this string of poor luck, Sheridan has also racked up multiple podiums and has yet to finish a race outside of the top 5, a streak he hopes to continue.
“It’s been great being able to bring home some good finishes for our sponsors and the guys on the team - it’s nice having some podiums to show for all the effort our team puts in. Yet, we’re still hunting for wins.”
The Sheridan team has committed to running the United Racing Series this season as well as a few invitationals, Jake finished 4th in the Jr Hanley Classic at Sunset a few weeks ago giving him some notes on the upcoming long race.
“We learned a lot at the Hanley and it set us up a lot better for the race this weekend. We had a really fast car at the Hanley and took some notes on how to make it last longer since we knew this race was coming up.”
Last weekend brought another 4th place finish for the 52 car after the first stop of the NTN Triple Crown at Sauble Speedway, Sauble has always been a tough track for the team as they are usually persevering through mechanical issues. This stop proved to be no different with a broken axle in practice, however this time ending in a top 5 to bring some momentum to the rest of the series.
The whole team is looking to break out at Sunset Speedway after building a notebook this season for a perfect long race here this weekend.
