First Look at Entry List for World Crown 300 at Cordele

UARA National officials have unveiled the first look at the entry list for the return of the World Crown 300 to Cordele Motor Speedway on October 25-26.

Currently, 30 teams are entered for the $35,000-to-win Super Late Model event, including some of the top Late Model racers from across the country.

Among the championship-caliber drivers entered for the event are inaugural UARA National champion Bubba Pollard, two-time Winchester 400 winner Stephen Nasse, 2022 Snowball Derby winner Derek Thorn, Matt Craig, Gio Ruggiero and Gabe Sommers.

All points on the map are seeing representation as entries file in for the event as well. Drivers such as Sommers, Austin Nason and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Johnny Sauter hail from the Midwest, Dave Farrington, Jr. comes from the Northeast, and Thorn is one of the West Coast's most accomplished competitors.

Other notables on the entry list include ARCA Menards Series competitor Jake Finch, 2023 Billy Bigley Memorial winner Jett Noland, and the winner of the most recent UARA National event at Owosso Speedway, Billy VanMeter.

The World Crown was previously contested at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia. The inaugural World Crown 300 took place in 1983, with Dick Trickle scoring the victory.

The list of World Crown 300 winners includes several other all-time greats of stock car racing, including Darrell Waltrip, Rich Bickle, Gary Balough, Bobby Gill, Ronnie Sanders, and Chase Elliott.

The World Crown 300 makes its return for the first time since 2014 on October 25-26. October 25 will serve as a practice day with a pit party after on-track activity concludes. Quailfying and heat races take place on Saturday, October 26 leading into the afternoon's 300-lap main event.
