For the JEGS Tour, 2024 marks the 12th variation of Speedfest Pro Late Model racing sanctioned by CRA. In the Tour’s sophomore season of 2012, the first event was held under the moniker. Chase Elliott, who set fast time, captured the win over Mike Garvey and Daniel Hemrick. Elliott is on the short list of drivers to win the event twice; overall winners include John Hunter Nemechek who is the only driver with three Speedfest wins, Casey Rodrick (2), Bubba Pollard, Stephan Nasse, Christopher Tullis, Micheal Hinde, and most recently, Augie Grill.
The 2024 Speedfest 100 features a $3,000 to win payday at the end of 100 (green flag) laps. The top 24 cars after qualifying will automatically lock in for the $500 start money; the top two transferring in from a Last Chance Qualifier, and two CRA Points Provisionals as needed. The weekend begins with Friday Practice and evening Qualifying. The top 8 drivers, including the winner of the $400 Yoder Construction Pole Award, will redraw for their starting positions on Friday night. Racing begins on Saturday at 1:00PM CT. The JEGS Tour will utilize the new Hoosier Racing Tire ST1 and ST2 compound for this event.
