Elliott, Harvick Battling Blizzard Series Stars At Five Flags Friday Night

More than 20 Super Late Model teams will make the trip to Five Flags Speedway for Busch Light Night at the Races, including a couple of NASCAR champions.

Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick are both on the entry list of 22 cars for the third race of the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series, adding some star power to this stop on the Road to the Snowball Derby. Elliott is a five-time Blizzard Series winner and two-time winner in the Snowball Derby.

Of course, they’ll be going against top Super Late Model competitors taking part in the combination race with the ASA Southern Super Series. Both the Southern Super Series and Blizzard Series offer valuable provisional starting spots in the Snowball Derby at year’s end along with their points championships.

Stephen Nasse leads the Blizzard Series points standings, while Casey Roderick is the front-runner currently for the ASA Southern Super Series. They are among the submitted entrants, along with Bubba Pollard, Cole Butcher, Jacob Gomes, Jeremy Doss, Matt Craig and many more.

Grandstands open at 5 p.m. CT on Friday at Five Flags Speedway. Qualifying begins at 7 p.m., with racing starting at 8 p.m.

Along with the Super Late Models, the Lloyd's Glass Pure Stocks, Story & Bleich Crown Stocks and Dock of Pensacola Beach Sportsman will also be in action.
