A late caution couldn't thwart Dominic Curit this time, as he led flag-to-flag in the 50-lap Oxford Championship Series feature on Sunday.

On May 26, Dominic Curit led the first 37 laps of the Oxford Championship Series Super Late Model feature. However, a late caution erased his advantage, and Brandon Varney took the lead on the ensuing restart for the win.

Curit led until a caution with 10 laps to go Sunday at Oxford Plains Speedway, and this time he stayed in front for the victory.

A flat tire for Kyle Salemi sent the driver of the No. 63 spinning down the frontstretch in the closing laps, giving the competition one last shot at Curit. However, Curit held strong to take the win in the last Super Late Model race at Oxford Plains before the All That's Metal Celebration of America 300 on July 2-3.

"I saw that caution with 10 to go and said, 'Not again.' This isn't good," said Curit. "I got a good restart and pulled away. Tyler, my spotter, hats off to him, he does an amzing job. He managed me and kept me cool for the full 50 laps."

Evan Roy finished second in the 50-lap feature. It's been an up-and-down season for Roy as he continues acclimating to the Super Late Models after competing in PASS Modifieds.

"We've just been trying to figure out these cars," said Roy. "It seems like we have the worst luck. Week after week, either we have speed and get to the rear or we have speed and start in the rear. I have no luck. We found it tonight, so I can't be more happy."

Austin Teras settled for a third-place finish, admitting he wasn't pleased with his car but needing to turn laps in it before the $40,000-to-win, 300-lap extravaganza on Wednesday.

"It didn't drive very good today," said Teras. "We took the crate motor car, this is the backup for me and Kyle here this week. We had to see if it had anything in it. We had a hell of a dogfight with Calvin there. I don't know how we got it, but that was a lot of fun. He raced great. Congrats to Dom and Evan, it's great to see those guys up there, too."

Calvin Rose finished fourth, with Travis Benjamin rounding out the top five.
