Dale Earnhardt Jr. Hopes Wilkesboro Isn't His Last Late Model Start
Aug 25, 2022
The return of racing at North Wilkesboro Speedway has generated a ton of buzz during the month of August. The Racetrack Revival brought strong crowds and great racing to the historic venue, and there's still one more chance for fans to see the action on August 30-31.
During those two days, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will be on track with the CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour, with a 125-lap feature race scheduled for Wednesday, August 31. Earnhardt, Jr. has played a pivotal role in racing's return to North Wilkesboro, a movement that saw renewed interest after he organized for a cleaning of the racing surface so that it could be scanned for iRacing.

Earnhardt tested that day along with JR Motorsports drivers Josh Berry and Carson Kvapil to prepare for his start with the CARS Tour this week. The second episode focuses on the kickoff for the Racetrack Revival, when Tour-type Modifieds stormed around the 0.625-mile oval.
