Derek Thorn Paces Final World Crown 300 Practice at Cordele

UARA National Super Late Model competitors enjoyed a final practice and scuff session on race day for the World Crown 300 at Cordele Motor Speedway Saturday morning.

Derek Thorn, making his first start in the Highlands Motorsports No. 96, set fast time in the final practice at 16.216 seconds. Matt Craig was second-fastest, followed by Seth Christensen, Johnny Sauter and Connor Okrzesik.

UARA National competitors will be back on track at 3 p.m. ET for single-car qualifying. The two fastest cars in that qualifying session will lock into the front row for the World Crown 300, provided they complete all 25 laps of their heat race. The rest of the lineup will be determined by racers' combined scores between the single-car qualifying and their heat race result.

Thre three 25-lap heat races will take place at 4:30 p.m. ET, with pre-race festivities to follow before the 300-lap World Crown 300.
