Connor Hall to Make NASCAR Truck Debut at Richmond with McAnally-Hilgemann

Connor Hall, the current zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock point leader, will get a big-time opportunity in a couple of weeks at Richmond Raceway as he'll make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut. Hall is set to pilot the No. 91 Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing with primary sponsorship from A-All Mini Storage and TowneBank.

Bill McAnally is thrilled to be giving Hall the opportunity to make his NASCAR National Series debut as he feels Hall has proven himself as one of the best drivers in the local late model scene over the last few years.

“We’re really looking forward to having Connor drive for us at Richmond”, McAnally said. “He has been one of the best late model drivers in the nation over the past couple of years and is absolutely deserving of this. He has the talent to win races and has shown the determination to do it. All that he needed was an opportunity and we’re glad to be able to make this a reality.”

The Hampton, Virginia native understands how difficult these types of opportunities are to come by in NASCAR, and he is determined to put his best foot forward at the 0.750-mile short track.

“Every driver wants the chance at an opportunity like this, and I want to make the most of it”, Hall said in a team release. “Of all the places on the Truck Series schedule, I think Richmond will fit my driving style the best and the kind of racing we have in late model stocks can translate well. I’m incredibly excited for it, and I have to thank Bill McAnally, TowneBank, A-All Mini Storage, and everyone at MHR for making this happen.”

Prior to competing in Saturday's Clean Harbors 250 at Richmond, Hall will continue to chase the championship in the CARS Tour Late Model Stock division. Hall will compete in the event at Ace Speedway on Friday, August 9 before heading to Richmond the following day.

Hall heads into the event at Ace Speedway with a 29-point advantage for the CARS Tour point lead.

The 27-year-old is a five-time race winner in the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock ranks, and he scored the win in the series earlier this year at Langley Speedway, his home track. In addition to his success in the CARS Tour, Hall was the 2023 NASCAR Weekly Series National Champion, and he took home the 2023 track championship at Langley Speedway.

Hall was leading this past weekend's race at Hickory Motor Speedway when he was turned by Ryan Millington. Millington would cross the finish line as the race winner but would be DQed for rough driving, which handed the win to Ronnie Bassett Jr.
