Connor Hall Joining JR Motorsports Late Model Team for 2025 Season

Connor Hall will pilot the JR Motorsports No. 88 Late Model Stock Car full-time during the 2025 season, with Bass Pro Shops returning as a primary partner for 20 events next year.

JR Motorsports announced the news on Tuesday morning, tabbing the next driver for the championship-winning team. Carson Kvapil, winner of the last two zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car titles, currently drives the team's primary Late Model Stock Car entry. Kvapil has been tabbed to drive full-time for JR Motorsports' No. 1 NASCAR Xfinity Series entry next season.

“We are very happy to be able to have someone of Connor’s caliber and experience join us in our Late Model program,” said JRM’s Senior Vice President of Motorsports L.W. Miller in the team's announcement.

“Seeing his many successes over the past several seasons makes us very excited to watch him continue that success in a JR Motorsports Late Model in 2025. Everyone at JRM is looking forward to seeing what he and Bryan (Shaffer) can do together in the Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet.”

Hall is currently the points leader in the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock series driving for Nelson Motorsports, holding a one-point advantage over Brenden Queen. Hall has five career CARS Tour wins.

The Virginia driver has also won the last two NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series National Championships. By winning the title in 2023 and 2024, Hall became the first back-to-back National Champion since Lee Pulliam accomplished the feat in 2012 and 2013.

Hall won this year's Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 at South Boston Speedway, the first leg of the Virginia Triple Crown each year. Hall won the 2019 Hampton Heat at his home track of Langley Speedway.

“To me, JR Motorsports has the No. 1 Late Model program in the country, and it’s a dream come true to be able to wake up every day and work toward the common goal everyone at JRM has, which is to win more races and championships and carry on the legacy of this team,” Hall said.

“The opportunity to represent JR Motorsports, Johnny Morris and Bass Pro Shops, Dale, Kelley and L.W. means a lot to me. I am super-excited to work with Bryan, Slim and the rest of the team as well. I respect them a ton and am very eager to establish that working relationship.”

The final two races of the 2024 CARS Tour season fall over the next two weeks. The series competes Saturday at Tri-County Speedway in Hudson, North Carolina before the season finale at North Wilkesboro Speedway on October 19.
